Transportation Management System (TMS)

The TMS system is a robust and sophisticated internet based transportation service provider. It allows the customer the ability to perform the following Tasks on inbound, outbound or third-party shipments:

  • Tender a shipment electronically and directly to the LTL service provider selected.
  • Perform multiple Rate Quotes and comparisons across 25 LTL contracted carriers (robust rating engine)
  • Compare and contrast LTL with TL options for a shipment.
  • Make Carrier selection based on price, service or transit time.
  • Load customer specific pricing.
  • Load a clients carriers to appear as a service alternative.
  • Load unlimited amount of Carrier Tariffs.
  • Store customer and product information for quick booking of shipments.
  • Track shipments with multiple daily updates.
  • Provide and quote on Truck load shipments.
  • View Shipment activity with several sort options.
  • Receive notification each time your customer ships.
  • Online Credit card payments after shipments are delivered.

Client Management and Support Services (Customer Service)

To support the TMS system, the client and life of the Shipment, the Client Management Department provides in-depth support to the client and a daily management of the client’s freight. As part of that support the Department performs and provides the following functions and services for its clients:

  • Daily Quality checks to insure freight is picked up and identify shipment problems.
  • Provide a primary points of contacts for all clients.
  • Monitor shipment movements and communicate issues to clients.
  • Provide volume LTL quotes upon request.
  • Track guaranteed shipments.
  • Provide NMFC information on customer request.
  • Monitor shipments that weren’t ready or not available to pick up is completed.
  • Provide daily shipment reports upon request.
  • Track and trace manually all first time shippers to enhance the experience.

Operations Services

Operations covers a broad spectrum of the shipment life in terms of its accuracy for billing purposes .Operations from the time the shipment is booked is monitoring the system and its data to insure it is current. This department through the life of the shipment performs the following tasks that prove invaluable to our clients for billing purposes:

  • Receive data from the carriers on the shipment from the moment the carrier has accepted.
  • Audit the freight bill throughout the life of the shipment several times to insure there have been no changes (for example: class change, re-weigh).
  • Audit the bill three days after delivery to insure all accessorial charges are captured.
  • Advise the client on shipments delayed for whatever reason.
  • Advise clients on shipment changes including damage re-weigh or class change.
  • Assist the client in resolving disputed charges based on any freight bill changes.

As part of the Carrier Service we can also procure customer specific pricing based on the size and nature of a customer’s freight volume. This will often produce even deeper discounting.

Freight Claim Resolution

Although the legal responsibility of any claim lies with the carrier, our services extend to freight claim resolution. Our TMS will provide instructions on documents required for a claim, advise on the validity of a claim, and filing of the claim for the client on their behalf. We also keep the client updated on the status of the claim from start to finish and send updates as we receive them.

Software Integration

If you are a large organization and require integration of our services data into your systems, or merely want to transmit data from the TMS directly into your internal systems, we can accomplish this through a number of means, including but not limited to Web services.
